Finance Apprentice

Hours: Full-time, temporary 2-year appointment    Salary £6,902 increasing to £7,917 in Year 2

We are currently recruiting for an apprentice to work in the Finance Team at Macclesfield College. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual who is keen to develop new skills and make a positive contribution to our organisation. An apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to earn as you learn, and is an excellent way of gaining a nationally recognised qualification whilst acquiring vital workplace experience. Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16 years old. As an apprentice at the College you will experience a range of duties related to working within a busy environment and will complete a training programme to gain a related qualification. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Mathematics), or have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship Framework, and ideally hold an IT qualification. You must also be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Lecturer in ICT

Hours: Full-time – 37hrs per week    Salary Up to £31,707

Offering a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications up to Level 3, the IT, Games Technology and Networking Department in LZ6 is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in ICT to join their highly committed team. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player and keen to contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum area, including BTECs in Networking & System Support and Games Design & Animation to be launched in September 2012.

You will have a degree or equivalent in a Computing related subject with a Cert Ed/PGCE teaching qualification or have a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification to required national standards. Level 2 English and Mathematics qualifications are essential as is a commitment to student success. Recent experience of teaching young people up to Level 3 would be an advantage.
