Offering a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications up to Level 3, the ICT department in Macclesfield College’s Sixth Form is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in ICT to join their highly committed team. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player and keen to contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum area. The post will involve the marketing, effective planning, delivery, assessment and internal verification of BTEC ICT courses, and may involve some teaching within the Adult provision
You will have a degree or equivalent in a Computing related subject with a Cert Ed/PGCE teaching qualification or have a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification to required national standards. Level 2 English and Mathematics qualifications are essential as is a commitment to student success. Recent experience of teaching young people up to Level 3 would be an advantage.

The Bricklaying area is an expansion of the current engineering department.
This is an exciting new opportunity to deliver the Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying validated by CSkills Awards and the City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Basic Construction Skills – Bricklaying for the schools IFP programme.
The aim is to develop the Level 2 Diploma and the Apprenticeship/Level 3 programmes over a period of time.
The successful candidate will hold a City and Guilds Advanced Craft or NVQ Level 3 Award in Bricklaying/Trowel trades, and ideally possess a recognised apprenticeship in the construction/bricklaying trades. A minimum of 5 years relevant industrial work experience and 1 years teaching/training experience is desirable.
A teaching qualification to Cert Ed/PGCE or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification is required.
