Salary: Up to £32,475 per annum

Macclesfield College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in ICT (job share considered) to join their highly committed Engineering and Technology Team. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of effective teaching, learning and the assessment of our learners and will be keen to contribute to the development of the curriculum area. It is essential that applicants have experience in delivering to a high standard at least two or more of the following: applications; web design; games design; programming, hardware, networking and systems support.

Experience of CISCO vendor units would be advantageous.

Applicants must possess a degree in Computing or equivalent appropriate vocational qualification to at least level 6, and a current teaching qualification to the required national standards (or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification in a timely manner). The successful candidate will have good teamwork and organisational skills.

Possessing excellent computer skills the successful appointee(s) will also be required to create efficient and accurate systems to complement the Colleges application/enrolment and customer service processes.

Working within the Adult, Access and Professional Programme Department you will be responsible for delivering effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners within the Counselling program across all levels – from Concepts in Counselling Level 2 to Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 4.

Having a Degree or equivalent appropriate vocational qualification to least level 4 Diploma you will have current membership of the BACP.

Ideally, you will also hold a current teaching qualification to the required national standards. However, alternatively the College will also welcome an application from you if you have recent relevant industry experience and are looking for a route into a teaching role and are willing to undertake a formal teaching qualification.
