Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £32,475 per annum

Macclesfield College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in IT to join their highly committed Engineering and Technology Team. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of effective teaching, learning and the assessment of our learners and will be keen to contribute to the development of the curriculum area. It is essential that applicants have experience in delivering to a high standard at least two or more of the following: applications; web design; games design; programming, hardware, networking and systems support.

Applicants must possess a degree in Computing or equivalent appropriate vocational qualification to at least level 3, and a current teaching qualification to the required national standards (or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification in a timely manner). The successful candidate will have good teamwork and organisational skills.

PTHP Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Assessor

Hours: Up to 18.5 hours per week
Salary: £15.87 per hour

The College’s Business Development Unit is seeking to appoint an Assessor to deliver training and assessment of Vehicle Maintenance and Repair in the workplace and in College as required. The role will actively seeking out new business opportunities and promote training to employers in a significantly increasing employment market within the Cheshire East area.

The successful applicant will have a proactive, professional and credible approach to employer engagement. Recent relevant industrial or commercial experience and excellent, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the engineering sector are essential.

You will have a recognised industry qualification to at least level 3, preferably level 4 in a subject relevant to Vehicle maintenance and Repair. This is an excellent role within one of Cheshire's leading Colleges to provide a high quality learning service for our learners through the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and levels and to participate in curriculum development.

The post will involve the marketing, effective planning, delivery, assessment and internal verification of Electrical Installation courses, and will involve some teaching within the Adult provision.

PTHP Construction Workshop Technician

Hours: Up to 18.5 hours per week - term time only
Salary: £11.85 per hour

Working as a member of a vocational team, you will provide effective technical support for staff and students within the Bricklaying, Carpentry and Electrical Installation curriculum area, ensuring that the provision operates to a consistently high standard. You will maintain the workshops and its equipment to a high level of safety, ensure stock levels are maintained and issue equipment to students. You will also provide support to tutors during practical supervision.

Experience of working in a construction environment and knowledge of current building regulations, practices, procedures and legislation is essential.
