On Wednesday 3rd March a group of Macclesfield College students who are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme raised an amazing £233 for 'Help for Heroes' which is a charity that is close to the hearts of many people - the charity is for soldiers that have returned home after fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Award students raised this money through having a raffle which was won by a fellow student. They are also having a quiz which is £1 to enter and all entries must be in by 4pm on Wednesday 17th March. Correct entries will then be entered into the prize draw. The students will also be selling raffle tickets for 50p where the prize is to win a hamper of goodies. Wrist bands will also be on sale at a suggested donation of £2.
