The first week at Macclesfield College and LZ6 ended on a high for 1,500 new full-time students as they enjoyed fairground rides and stalls with their newfound friends.
To mark the end of 'Freshers' Week' the College worked with PA Promotions in Knutsford to set up a fun fair on the College grounds, complete with stomach churning rides, traditional games stalls and doughnut, candy floss and burger vans.
Students enjoyed the sunshine as they got dizzy on the walzers, battled with pugel sticks and felt momentarily weightless as the 'Miami Surf' ride propelled them into the air.
Rachel Griffiths, Student Services Manager, who organised the event commented: 'The fair has been an excellent way for our new students to make friends and settle into life at College and we couldn't have planned the weather better ourselves!'
Audrey Beeston of PA Promotions, who was manning the climbing wall, added: 'We were really pleased to be approached to provide the rides and attractions. All of the students I spoke to were having a brilliant time and one student in particular told me what a fantastic welcome to College it was for him.'
