A Bloodhound team member talked to the delegates

Kate Bellingham, former Tomorrow's World presenter and Maths teacher, recently spoke to teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths at a major conference hosted by Macclesfield College.

The 140 teachers from secondary schools and colleges across the North West attended talks which included finding out about the teaching resources and activities available from NASA.

They also listened to a talk about the current attempt, by Richard Noble OBE and his team, to break the land speed record in their hybrid rocket motor - Bloodhound - which it is hoped will reach speeds of over 1000mph.

The day provided an invaluable opportunity for the teachers to come together and share best practice and was a resounding success.
