College raises over £3000 for charities

Charitable students and staff across Macclesfield College of Further and Higher Education collected over £3000 for good causes last academic year. During the 2014/15 period various local and national charities and organisations benefited from the kind heartedness of the College community.

Among the many beneficiaries were charities such as Friends for Leisure, the RSPCA and Windyway Trust, as well as the East Cheshire Hospice for which a massive £1,464.33 was raised. Leah Goodhind, Community Fundraising Officer from the East Cheshire Hospice, recently called into the College to collect a cheque from Vice Principal Susan Treacy and meet with students from various courses to thank them for their hard work.
