Taking to the skies

A group of second year Foundation Degree students visited Ravenair at Liverpool (John Lennon) Airport recently, where they took to the skies.

The aim was to provide students with a better understanding of aircraft systems, the forces involved, lift and drag, procedures and aero engineering requirements, as well as to bring to life many other aspects of their course.

Three 30-minute trips in Ravenair’s PA28 Warrior aircraft on a breezy day completed the mission. And apparently a Ryanair Boeing 737 even waited patiently while they took off on one trip!
