Studying locally at Macclesfield College of Further and Higher Education means you can gain a degree-level qualification without the expense of going to university - our fees are lower, you’ll save on living expenses, you can keep your part-time job and your travel costs will be reduced.
From September 2016-17, our full-time Higher Education course fees are set at £5,700* a year (pro-rata for part-time courses) - when compared directly to other colleges and universities, you could be saving over £3,000 a year by studying at Macclesfield College, just on course fees. Our class sizes are smaller, you get more one-to-one contact with your teachers who have relevant working life experience to share with you, and pastoral support is excellent as we get to know each of our students very well.
*Some courses with reduced contact time may have reduced fees where there is greater emphasis on self-supported study outside the classroom.
Full-time students are entitled to Government loans, grants and bursaries, and part-time students are eligible for loans and grants to help with fees and course expenses. For more information see our Support for HE Students page or contact the Student Guidance Centre Manager on 01625 410000.
