Macclesfield College's Corporation is its Governing Body and comprises a board of people drawn from a range of backgrounds across the community the College serves. The role of a Governor is voluntary and the composition of the Corporation ensures that it has the benefit of views from both the local and the business community, together with its learners and staff. The skills, expertise and experience of individual Governors ensure the successful running of the College.
The Corporation is responsible for determining the College's educational character and defining its future strategy. It helps to raise standards, protect students' welfare and ensures the College provides an outstanding service to its students and the local community. It also oversees the College's financial health and ensures the proper use of public funds through effective management.
The Corporation hold regular meetings attended by the Governors and members of the College's Senior Management Team, together with any other individuals specifically invited to attend.
