ECAT is Macclesfield College’s European Centre for Aerospace Training, which offers vocational qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical and Aerospace Engineering along with Higher Education options.
ECAT features a purpose built hangar to house its fully functional BAE Jetstream 31 aircraft and is rated as amongst the best aerospace training establishments for young people in the UK. It also has a good international reputation, attracting many students from overseas. ECAT benefits from a fully fitted mechanical science lab and workshop, modern electronic labs and a state-of-the-art ICT suite and lecture rooms.
