You may enrol:
If you wish, you can come along to the Macclesfield College Park Lane campus anytime before the date when your course starts and complete an enrolment form. You may print or download the enrolment form (PDF) here.
If you are unable to come to the main campus in Macclesfield, you can enrol on the first day of your course at the Centre where your course takes place (providing that places are still available). Please note though, that some courses are particularly popular and that enrolments are accepted in the order that they are received until the course is full.
Please note that your place on the course will only be secure if the correct fee is included with your enrolment form. If you are eligible for a fee concession, please write the reason clearly on the enrolment form and provide proof of your entitlement when you attend your first class.
If you are studying on a part-time course and you receive one of the
following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does,
you are entitled to have your tuition fees waived:
You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees
(unless you are aged 19 and over and on a first full level 2 course; a
Skills for Life Literacy/Numeracy course or you are aged 19-25 and on
a first full level 3 course).
* If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit and you wish to claim
concessionary rates please contact Customer Services who will be
pleased to advise you on your entitlement. In addition, if you receive
other allowances you may also be eligible to enrol at concessionary
rates. If you are aged 19 and over you will be able to claim up to £30
per week Adult Learning Grant (subject to means testing) to study
full-time on a first full Level 2 or 3 course. If you are entitled to a fee
concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement. It is
essential that you inform us if your entitlement changes at any time
during your course.
On some courses you may be required to pay additional costs for items such as materials, uniforms etc. Please ask about these when you enrol.
There will be a charge for parking your vehicle at the Park Lane Campus and you will need to purchase a car park permit if you want to use the car park. Please ask Customer Services for details. Please note that the car park is often full and the purchase of a car parking permit does not guarantee that a space will be available for you.
Macclesfield College is now a totally smoke free campus - including the grounds surrounding the buildings. We ask you to please refrain from smoking whilst at College.
The College reserves the right to cancel any course because there is an insufficient number of students enrolled, or for any other operational reason, and in such cases tuition and, where appropriate, registration fees will automatically be refunded to those enrolled. However, where possible, customers will be offered an alternative day/time/venue or an alternative course.
Students who enrol early and wish to withdraw before the start of the course are entitled to a refund providing the request is received by the College in writing at least five working days before the scheduled start date.
Once the course has started refunds will not normally be given, although a credit note may be issued where the College's Financial Controller considers this appropriate. Requests for refunds relating to personal circumstances must be made in writing, to the Customer Services Manager, stating clearly the reason for the request.
Complaints relating to courses are subject to the College's Complaints Procedure and should be addressed to the Customer Services Manager, who will arrange for the complaint to be investigated and, on the basis of the findings, will make a recommendation to the Financial Controller as to whether a refund should be given. The final decision will be made by the Financial Controller to ensure a consistent approach.
