Who is it for?
This programme is aimed towards those people who have 30 hours teaching practice in either a voluntary or paid capacity.
Entry is dependent on having 30 hours teaching practice and level 3 in the subject you intend to teach. In addition candidates must hold a GCSE English (or equivalent) qualification. It is recommended that you have level 2 Maths in order to progress in a teaching career
You will attend Macclesfield College for one 3 hour session per week in addition to completing 30 hours of teaching for the duration of the course.
There is no examination. You will be assessed on both theoretical and practical assignments.

On successful completion of this course it is possible to progress on to the the level 5 Diploma in Education and Training to achieve the full qualification usually required in the lifelong learning sector.
