Course Information

The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed in the intermediate level. You’ll look at financial team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management skills, credit control and personal taxation.

Who is it for?
This course is available to all those aged 19 and over. For those who are aged 16-18 this course may be available to you following further guidance. If you are aged 16-19 and are not studying as an apprentice, you need to source a work placement.

This course will develop your professional and personal skills which could be used in either industry or accounting practice. It will also develop your problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Entry Requirements
You will need to have achieved the AAT Level 3 or a relevant Degree qualification.

On receipt of your application to study this course you will be invited to attend an admissions interview with a member of the teaching team to discuss the course and its requirements in more depth to ensure the course is right for you.

During this course you will study four core units:

• Management Accounting: Budgeting
• Management Accounting: Decision and Control
• Financial Statements of Limited Companies
• Accounting Systems and Controls

In addition to the core units, you must study two optional units, units to be confirm but include:

• Business Tax
• Personal Tax
• Credit Management

Three core units are assessed by means of online end of unit assessment. Accounting Systems and Controls is assessed as part of a Synoptic assessment. The two optional units are assessed by an end of unit assessment.

On successful completion of this course you will have achieved 160 UCAS points should you wish to apply to study a Degree.
