The ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills consists of four units which you will require both practical and theoretical knowledge resulting in appropriate association between theory and practice.
Who is it for?
Students who have completed level 2 and wishing to wish to start their training to become a qualified counsellor or wish to acquire counselling skills to use in other areas or work.
ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
Progression from Level 2 and individual interview/group interview.
The course is made up of the following units;
• Creating a Counselling Skills Professional Framework
• An Introduction to Counselling Theory
• Basic Counselling Skills
• Personal Development and Growth for Counselling.
A minimum of 80% attendance is required for course completion.
Unit 3 (Basic Counselling Skills) is externally assessed.
Units 1, 2 and 4 will be internally assessed by college tutors.
Follow up courses/Progression
Level 4 Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Counselling
Level 4 Diploma/ Advanced Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling. The course does not permit candidates to work as counsellors.
