The Parents Survival Guide to Teenage Years course consists of five units which will equip you with both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge resulting in the ability to implement your skills/strategies within your own home.
Who is it for?
This course is designed with you the Parent/Carer in mind to give you some essential skills and strategies to help you to manage conflict within your relationship with your children. It also teaches you about how to put boundaries in place to prevent conflict starting by increasing your communication/negotiation skills. Teenage years can be problematic and challenging for anyone with children. It can destroy relationships and it can emotionally tear families apart. We look at how you can learn to manage these difficult challenges you’re faced with on a day to day level.
You will need to have a good level of English language.
During this course you will cover the following units:
• Listening and communication skills
• An introduction to Transaction Analysis theory
• Your own Transaction Analysis graph
• Managing conflict – role play
• Developing a network of support around you

Following completion of this course you may wish to apply to study the ABC Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts.
