Code of Conduct
As a learner studying at Macclesfield College/LZ6 you will:
- Be courteous, responsible, mature and respect the rights of others
- Respect the property of the Learning Provider, its staff, other learners and visitors
- Respect the work, ideas, beliefs, values and opinions of others
- Be punctual to timetabled sessions and other scheduled events, attend regularly and notify the Learning Provider in the event of absence
- Follow all instructions given by Learning Provider staff
- Comply with Health and Safety arrangements for on-site and off-site activities, including emergency procedure and security measures
- Keep yourself and others safe
- Eat and drink in designated areas only
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment
- Observe the ‘No Smoking’ arrangements
- Not carry, consume or be under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substances while on Learning Provider premises or off-site activities
- Not carry laser pointers, other offensive weapons or unauthorised knives
- Not plagiarise, copy or cheat to improve your performance or gain other rewards
- Not use mobile phones, MP3 players, personal stereos or pagers in timetabled sessions, the library and other resource areas
- Comply with the Learning Provider’s requirements for the use of computers
- Comply with dress code
Misconduct will be reported to your Home Base or the Local Authority.
